Photographic Makeup Award Beginners
This course will enable you to initiate your career as a makeup artist in beauty salons, doing bridal and photo-shoot. Build up your portfolio and makeup kit/ tools. You will study facial anatomy, health, and safety best practice, skincare, the correct use of tools and products, the principles of lighting and shading in make-up, as well as color mixing and blending the application of bases, and beauty make-up for both day and evening and you will look at how makeup is influenced by a different light.
• Make-up application to include the understanding of face shapes, skin characteristics, fashion trends, cultural factors, effects of sunlight, planning make-up application images, themes, colour, research, use of mood board.

Students work through a comprehensive syllabus addressing the key make-up techniques required by professional artists working in these industries inspired and guided by true professionals.
Classes (Maximum 6 students) are taught through practical demonstrations and one-to-one attention on each student’s work. Students work on each other, training mannequins or a model with a very practical and hands-on approach from day one. Also available distance learning where you can built the required evidence of your learning at work with only brief visits to the academy or visit by the tutor to your practicing salon.
An Award by iTEC-VTCT International qualification at Level 2 (Level 3 MQF& Europe Qualification Framework) will be issued.
The course length can vary:
Option1: September /October usually completed within 8 months (Approximately) or by the end of Academic year. Expected attendance minimum one day per week either mornings or afternoon classes (one class) .Lessons are on a flexible basis within the week 9:30 to 12:30 or 17:00 to 19:30 including Saturdays, Sundays and festivities. Work experience will be essential for professional development and students will be able to practice on models and in the Academy’s salon on a flexible basis throughout the duration of the course (Assistant practice) or you will be able to witness salon's work (Watch and learn).
"The cost of the course Option 1 is "1600 euro including use of tools at the Academy." A deposit at your enrollment and the balance due at 0%interest finance to pay in monthly installments.
Option 2: Starting in September/October will be about 19 months flexible one day per week or Starting in January /February/March or as notified will be about 16 months (Including Summer break). Lessons are on a flexible basis within the week 9:30 to 12:30 or 17:00 to 19:30 including Saturdays, Sundays and festivities and depending on the acquisition of practice and knowledge through the course and mutual availability.
