What you learn
This course will enable you to initiate your career as a makeup artist in beauty salons, doing bridal and photoshoot, or continue to Level 3 Diploma. Build up your portfolio and makeup kit/tools.
You will study facial anatomy, health, and safety best practice, skincare, the correct use of tools and products, the principles of lighting and shading in make-up, as well as color mixing and blending the application of bases, and beauty make-up for both day and evening and you will look at how makeup is influenced by a different light.
This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and over.

How you learn
Students work through a comprehensive syllabus addressing the key make-up techniques required by professional artists working in these industries inspired and guided by true professionals.
Classes are taught through practical demonstrations and one-to-one attention on each student’s work. Students work on each other, training mannequins or a model with a very practical and hands-on approach from day one.
The course length is from 12 to 14 weeks (approximately).
These courses are taught by an experienced Makeup Designer and assessed by Academy’s director
Alex Volpe.
At the end of the course after passing all required units, a Diploma by iTEC International qualification and London Academy Hair & makeup Malta will be issued.

What you learn
This qualification is for learners who want to work within the make-up industry.
The main skills the Learner will perform are:

The learner will also develop knowledge about related health and safety and client care and communication which is essential to work and be successful in the make-up industry.
This qualification also provides:

The related knowledge and understanding required to perform make-up application listed above as well as recognition of skin types and skin conditions and reasons that may affect whether a client should or should not be treated

The light and airy classrooms of London Academy are located within the enchanting Spinola Bay in St. Julians.
In our spacious classrooms, you will have your own personal workstation – including professional lighting and equipment.
There will be a deposit to be paid on enrolment day, an initial payment on the first day of the course , and a second payment 4 weeks later.
At the end of the course after passing all required units, a Diploma by iTEC International qualification and London Academy Hair & makeup Malta will be issued.
